Welcome to the home of the Core Matrix Foundation. We are a 100 percent Australian organisation dedicated to preserving freedom of speech in all forms, but with particular emphasis on electronic communication. I am especially concerned with the efforts of governments and and ultra-conservative groups to stifle the anarchistic nature of the Internet, since the Internet's core being stems from it's totally open structure.

Our basic right to communicate transcends any law of any government of any place of any time. This principle is reflected in the name I gave to this machine - Jedi (the freedom-fighting 'rebels' in the Star Wars movies - which now includes the new Episode One prequel!).

Any attempt to stifle unrestricted communication must be suppressed and fought with courage and vigour. There is no place for controlling freedom of speech.

A compassionate Jedi Master
sees more in others than most,
but he
shuns consensus and follows his own path
despite the consequences.

Psst! Want to Know a Secret? 8-)

Help to Defend and Protect the Internet's Freedom

I recommend that everyone who believes in freedom of speech and expression in electronic communication should support the Electronic Frontier Foundation's Free Speech Online - Blue Ribbon Campaign, as well as Electronic Frontiers Australia Inc's STOP! Campaign. Please display these or similar logos on your web page(s) to raise awareness of these and other campaigns.

Digital Doomsday
Clock The Digital Doomsday Clock is an an LCD indicator of the intensity of the struggle between freedom and repression in the digital world. The closer to midnight the time, the more intense the threat to our freedom.

I'm also a signatory to the petition supporting the campaign against spam on the Internet. If you are fed up with any or all types of spam, I encourage you to join the campaign, as well as implement some spam-fighting policies to reduce the ammount of unwanted email and/or news entering your site.

Are you sick of the lack of competition in the information systems industries, especially the software industry? Are you sick of companies that believe they have a mandate to take over, monopolise and control as much of the IS industry as they can, and ultimately control and manipulate the way we lives our lives? If you are, join the Boycott Micro$oft campaign and support competition, free markets and innovation.

2600 Australia is a loose-knit group of people interested in computer security, electronic gadgetry, communications and just technology exploration in general.

They have no official membership though they host a number of mailing lists and hold monthly meetings in cities around Australia. There are approximately 450 subscribers on the lists at the present time. One of the other things they do is investigate and publish details of anomalies in various things, and this forms the basis of their pet projects.
